Helen Morton, a physicist who hates music, falls in love with a violinist. Set adrift by a career crisis and an unexpected romance, Helen searches anew for meaning and finds it where she least expected it.

Brian Lowdermilk (music and lyrics) is a Birth of a Musical alum. His musical "The Wheel" was produced in the 2002 festival. Other works as a composer/lyricist include "Transient Days," "RED," "Room To Grow," "Elliot and The Magic Bed," and "Battleship Ticonderoga." Lowdermilk has studied at Harvard University and Berklee College of Music. This semester finds him at NYU, where he is the recipient of the 2003 Alan Menken Scholarship.

Kait Kerrigan (book and lyrics) graduated from Barnard College with a degree in English Literature. Her plays "Her Old Possessions" and "Tender Wars in the Green-Gold Room" both premiered at Columbia University. "Her Old Possessions" had a subsequent reading at Live Girls in Seattle, WA, and was performed at the Burton Taylor Theatre in Oxford, UK.
