KISS ME KATE
Audition Requirements

*Please prepare 32-bars of a standard musical theatre song (Cole Porter, Rodgers & Hart, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Gershwin, Kern, Berlin, or their contemporaries are suggested).  PLEASE DO NOT SING A CONTEMPORARY MUSICAL THEATRE PIECE.  WHEN LOOKING FOR MATERIAL THINK 1920 - 1965.

You must bring the sheet music in the key in which you intend to sing.  An accompanist will be provided.  
You may sing from the show if you choose.   You may also choose to prepare a 2nd contrasting 16-bar selection.  You may or may not be asked for this 2nd selection.   

You must sign-up for an audition slot on the AUDITION AND CAST LIST CALLBOARD on the 2nd floor of the Estes wing in the Forbes Center for the Performing Arts AFTER October 28th. 

SUGGESTED AUDITION ATTIRE: Kiss Me Kate takes place in 1948.  It is suggested that women wear skirts or dresses and heals, and the men wear button down shirts, slacks, and hard soled shoes (ie. not sneakers) in order to help yourself be better seen within the context of the show.
