Audition Requirements

*Please prepare 32-bars of a standard, GOLDEN AGE (1920s—1965) musical theatre song.  You must bring the sheet music in the key in which you intend to sing.  An accompanist will be provided.   You may sing from the show if you choose.   WOMEN who have BOTH a legit soprano and a classic musical
theatre belt/ mix sound may prepare a 2nd contrasting  16-bar selection to show off their “other sound”  You may or may not be asked for this 2nd selection.   

You must sign-up for an audition slot on the door of Theatre II, Room 12 after October 12th, 2009

If you would like to be considered for
Dream Laurey you must attend the Dream Laurey dance call in Godwin on October 18th from 11am—1PM.  You do not need to sign-up for this audition, simply arrive at Godwin warmed up and ready to dance by 10:45am.  Dancers should have substantial ballet/ lyrical jazz/ modern training (partnering preferred),  and come to the audition on Sunday in dance attire (including ballet shoes).     


SUGGESTED AUDITION ATTIRE: OKLAHOMA! takes place in the  in the Oklahoma Territory in the early 1900s.  It is suggested that women wear skirts or dresses, and the men wear  button down shirts, slacks, and hard soled shoes (ie. not sneakers). in order to help yourself be better seen within the context of the show.
